Whether you’re a mobile content creator looking to elevate your social media imagery or an aspiring photographer eager to refine your technical skills, this workshop promises a day of creativity by one of Cornwall's prettiest beaches.

Itinerary

10am – Welcome, coffee & tips

We’ll begin the day with a relaxed welcome over tea or coffee at Lusty Glaze (please note, drinks are not included in the ticket price,) taking in the ocean views while Frankie shares her favourite photography tips, tricks, and creative prompts.

Coastal photography walk

We’ll head down to the iconic Lusty Glaze beach and along the surrounding cliff paths, capturing the light, textures, and atmosphere of this spectacular private cove. Frankie will guide you through composition, lighting, and storytelling techniques - ideal for both camera and mobile users.

This setting is perfect for portraiture, lifestyle content, and seascape shots, with ever-changing tides and coastal tones as your backdrop.

Lunch & Food Photography at Lusty Glaze Restaurant

After a morning of shooting, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by The Pickled Chef, served in the Lusty Glaze Restaurant. (Pre-order required, please see menu below - your ticket includes one main course, or two small plates.)

During lunch, Frankie will lead a hands-on food photography and styling session, showing you how to:

  • Use natural light, artificial light and reflectors to highlight texture and colour.

  • Arrange dishes and props for an effortless, organic look.

  • Style tabletops to tell a visual story that feels authentic and inviting.

  • Capture mouth-watering images with your phone or camera using simple yet effective composition techniques.

Together, we’ll explore how to photograph food in a way that feels both aspirational and approachable - perfect for content creators, small business owners, or anyone wanting to elevate their creative imagery.

Afternoon – Edit & unwind

After lunch, we’ll gather for an interactive session focused on editing and post-production techniques. Frankie will walk you through her Lightroom workflow, sharing how to enhance colour, light, and texture to bring your images to life β€” whether they’re shot on a camera or mobile phone. You’ll learn practical tips for creating a cohesive style, managing presets, and developing your own visual identity.

Following the session, there’ll be time for relaxed 1:1 conversations, giving you the chance to ask questions or get personalised advice while enjoying the peaceful seaside atmosphere at Lusty Glaze.

4pm – End of retreat

We’ll wrap up our day with a final reflection and Q&A, leaving you with new skills, and hopefully some fresh inspiration!
