SCARLET HOTEL
capturing all aspects; from food & interiors to lifestyle & location
On this shoot for the Scarlet Hotel, the team were rebranding and needed imagery that reflected the calm, natural luxury of their coastal retreat. Warm, candid, and editorial, the goal was to move beyond traditional hotel photography and instead tell a story that invited viewers to step into the experience.
Creative Direction
We worked closely with the hotel's marketing and brand team to align the shoot with their updated tone of voice: elegant yet effortless. The direction focused on capturing real moments of connection, from guests enjoying serene clifftop views to an intimate spa day and experiences such as wine tasting and an art class.
The aesthetic was light-drenched, minimal, and emotive, leveraging the natural textures of the hotel’s interiors and the surrounding Cornish landscape.
The shoot took place over several days to capture golden hour and varied weather conditions. We relied heavily on natural light (and artificial for food), minimal styling, and a small footprint crew to keep scenes authentic and unobtrusive. Models were guided to interact naturally with the space, evoking the feel of a true getaway.
